Refund policy
Our policy is valid for a period of 120 calendar days from the date of the purchase. If the period of 120 days has elapsed since the purchase, we reserve the right to not offer you a refund.
Refund requirements
The following criteria must be met to qualify for a refund:
- A gift card is invalid before the customer was able to use it, or
- A gift card has no balance or an inferior balance to the initially stated value on the card before the customer was able to use it.
If the conditions listed above are not met, we reserve the right not to issue a refund.
In the case of an invalid card, the card must have been invalid before it could be used by the customer. Please note that if a customer attempts to use a valid gift card on an online purchase, and the online retailer voids the gift card for any reason (such as their Terms & Conditions being breached or the purchase being suspected of fraud) we will not be held liable or responsible for any losses nor will we be able to provide a refund or replacement.
In the case of a card with an insufficient balance, the card must have had no balance or an inferior balance to the initially stated value on the card before the customer was able to use it.
In the event of any cards which have issues for any reason, we will launch an investigation to determine if ArbitrageCard is liable for the card. An investigation may last up to 14 days. If after the investigation it is determined that ArbitrageCard should not be liable for the card, then ArbitrageCard reserves the right not to provide a refund or replacement.
It’s important to note that if you need to return, exchange, or obtain a credit for anything you bought using this gift card, the merchant’s policies, terms, and conditions for gift card purchases will apply. These policies may change at the discretion of the merchant. If you do need to return or exchange an item, you might only be eligible to receive store credit. You can contact each merchant directly for more information.
It’s also important to review the merchant’s website to understand their redemption terms before you buy a gift card on ArbitrageCard. You should always ensure that you are abiding by the merchant’s Terms & Conditions while using gift cards. If you encounter any problems redeeming the gift card as a result of the merchant’s restrictions or policies, including the merchant canceling or voiding the gift card due to you violating their Terms & Conditions, ArbitrageCard will not be responsible for providing a refund.
Misuse of Gift Cards & Scam Awareness
A. Awareness of Common Scams:
You acknowledge that certain individuals or groups may attempt to defraud consumers by requesting payment through gift cards for alleged debts, fees, taxes, fines, or similar obligations. For example, a scammer may claim to be affiliated with a government agency (such as the IRS), a utility company, a law enforcement authority, a charity, or another reputable organization and instruct you to purchase and provide the codes of gift cards as a form of payment. Please be aware that legitimate governmental bodies, creditors, and reputable organizations do not request payment via gift cards.
B. Prohibited Uses:
Our gift cards are intended solely for personal use, whether for your own use or as a genuine gift to someone you know. Gift cards should be purchased solely at the purchaser’s independent discretion and without any undue influence, coercion, or control exerted by another individual. Under no circumstances should gift cards purchased from us be used to pay fines, taxes, fees, ransom, extortion, or any other form of debt or obligation demanded by third parties under suspicious or coercive circumstances. If you choose to use our gift cards for such unauthorized or improper purposes, you do so at your own risk and in direct violation of these Terms & Conditions.
C. No Refunds or Replacements for Improper Use:
If you fall victim to a scam and purchase gift cards under the false pretense that they may serve as payment for debts, government fees, or other illegitimate requests, we will not issue refunds, credits, or replacements for those gift cards. Once a gift card has been delivered and redeemed, it cannot be reversed. You agree that any loss arising from such misuse or a scam scenario rests solely with you, and you hereby release and hold ArbitrageCard harmless from any such claims or damages.
D. Preventative Measures:
We encourage you to remain vigilant and cautious when responding to any unsolicited requests for payment—especially those involving gift cards. When in doubt, contact the purported organization directly using official channels, or seek advice from trusted family members, legal counsel, or law enforcement before proceeding with any payment.
Arbitration Clause
Company reserves the right to submit any and all claims and disputes arising under or relating to this Agreement to binding arbitration in the state of North Carolina or another location mutually agreeable to the parties. The determination whether any claim(s) and dispute(s) are to be settled through binding arbitration or through a state court having proper jurisdiction shall be in the sole discretion of Company.
Collections & Interest
Interest shall accrue at the rate of 4% per month beginning ten (10) days after the due date of any unpaid invoice or bill. In the event of any overpayment, unwarranted refund or unwarranted gift card replacement by Company to Customer, interest shall accrue at the rate of 4% per month beginning ten (10) days after request for refund is delivered to Customer by Company.
